Shrimp Pesto Pasta

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes



1 bag of penne pasta

1 – 1/2lbs of Medium Uncooked Shrimp

1 Jar of Pesto Sauce (i used classico)

1 Tbsp of Minced Garlic

1 Tbsp of Olive Oil

Preferred seasonings

(I used pepper, Goya ‘the perfect seasoning’, garlic salt and creole seasoning)



1.) Remove shell and ensure that shrimp is deveined

2.) Season shrimp and set aside

3.) In a sauce pan, bring water and a pinch of salt to a boil

4.) Add Penne Pasta to boiling water

5.) Cook Pasta for about 7-8 minutes until pasta is al dente

6.) Strain & Rinse. Set aside

7.) In a skillet, add olive oil and minced garlic

8.) Sautee garlic for approximately 1 minute and add seasoned shrimp

9.) Cook shrimp on each side approximately 2-3 minutes (careful not to over cook)

10.) Lower temperature on stove to low

11.) Add pasta to skillet with shrimp and stir briefly

12.) Add pesto sauce, stirring in gradually

13.) Allow pasta to simmer for about 5 minutes

14.) Plate and serve
